No licence required
The River Rawthey fantastic river running off the southern Hogwills towards Sedbergh. It has a bit of everything, starting as a small stream with technical falls, a spectacular conglomerate gorge and finishing as quite a big river before emptying in the River Lune.
It needs a good 6 hours of rain to bring this river up.
To canoe, kayak or paddle board on many rivers and canals you need a licence. Purchased individually, licences would cost you around £150.
