The River Beauly is located in the Scottish Highlands, approximately 15 km west of Inverness. It stretches about 25 km in length, starting near the village of Struy, at the meeting of the River Farrar and the River Glass. The river flows eastward, passing south of the village of Beauly, eventually emptying into the Beauly Firth.
The Aigas Gorge section of the river offers a serene paddling experience amid steep, wooded banks. Paddlers can navigate upstream to Aigas Island, which features a high bridge connecting it to the mainland. The elegant Eilean Aigas House sits within the island.
