Carers or Companions British Canoeing Membership

Carers or Companions British Canoeing Membership

British Canoeing is committed to making paddling accessible for everyone, regardless of their identity, background or circumstances.  Should you need a carer or companion to accompany you when you go paddling we don’t want British Canoeing membership requirements to pose a barrier.

British Canoeing has looked to create a solution for accessibility which is sensitive but also provides the necessary aspects of membership, including the waterways licence and insurance. The carers or companions membership sticker makes it simple to have a carer or companion accompany you when you want to go paddling. The primary paddler should have a full On the Water membership to access this benefit.

The sticker is purchased by the primary paddler when purchasing their On the Water membership and is an additional £10. Attach the sticker to the craft your carer or companion is using to provide them with a waterways licence and insurance. The membership sticker is in your name so you can take whoever you like out on the water.
