A canal in the Norfolk Broads, the Haddiscoe Cut is a short, straight paddle straight canal. It literally ‘cuts’ through the Broads countryside and links the River Yare to the River Waveney. Originally, the canal was built to reduce journey times between Lowestoft to Norwich.
As you paddle along the Haddiscoe Cut, enjoy the peace and tranquility away from the beaten track of the Yare or Waveney. It’s a great way to get further into the heart of the countryside, with nothing much to be seen for miles on end. As you paddle along, look out for a variety of wildlife, including plenty of wading birds.
