We love it when we can get new people paddling! EEKCC is a very friendly club and we have a big range of ages and abilities. Our members paddle kayaks, canoes and sea kayaks. We paddle on local rivers and lochs as well as on the sea. We often have weekends away to get to more remote spots. Whether you are a complete beginner who has never paddled before or you are an old hand, we’d love to meet you. We are a child protection aware club – we abide by the SCA guidelines for the protection of children. We have a selection of kit that members can use if they don’t have their own – this is very useful for those just starting out. We can kit you out with just about everything you need apart from footwear and a wet suit. We even have a range of boats! Our team of friendly coaches will make you feel at home on the water in no time. In the summer months (May to early September) we have our regular Friday night sessions at Strathclyde Loch near Hamilton where we can paddle on the loch or the river Clyde. The rest of the year finds us in the warmer climes of the Water Palace in Hamilton. If you’d like to come along, we start paddling at 19:30 and in winter the pool starts at 20:30.
