York Canoe Club has a focus on white water kayaking.We paddle all over the uk and abroad. Frequently running trips in the Yorkshire, North East, Wales and Scotland. Club members organise overseas trips in the summer to Spain, Slovenia and France.The club welcomes paddlers of all abilities. We have a supportive coaching structure, enabling you to develop your paddling whatever your start point.The membership is diverse and consists of a wide range of ages although we do not have a junior section.Club nights are on Wednesdays, in the pool over winter, and on the River Ouse in the summer.Beginners courses are run periodically throughout the year in the pool and on the river, normally lasting six weeks. This is followed up with an introduction to white water course, with the aim of introducing you to white water paddling.
