Our Club is all about introducing juniors to canoeing and kayaking. It is run by volunteers for the membership, and so the Club's offering changes according to the interests, energy and enthusiasm of our members, their parents and our volunteer coaches. Our canoe polo section is currently the most active, for members age 10 and over.  We run two Canoe Polo leagues, which each meet fortnightly on Sundays from 18:00 to 20:00 at Tandridge Leisure Pool Oxted.  The Development League is for complete beginners to kayaking.  The Premier League is for those already competent in kayaks, but new to canoe polo, and for teams promoted from the Development League.  Canoe polo games take place in the fitness pool, whilst coaches teach paddle and ball skills in the lagoon area.  Some members thrive on the competitive element, others simply enjoy coming along to be with their friends. Most people join as complete beginners and often with a group of friends.  We welcome teams from schools, Sea Cadets, Scouts or Guides, and also have teams of friends and family teams.  Everyone is welcome to join our Club, but for our two canoe polo leagues the minimum age is Year 7 senior school. Progression is rapid and within a term or so, members have the skills they need to try other types of canoeing such as river trips, slalom and an introduction to moving water.
