Nomad Kayak Club, founded in 1973, is based at the Bury Lake Young Mariners (BLYM) site in Rickmansworth Aquadrome.  We are a family oriented club catering for anyone who can safely participate in paddlesport with members ranging from complete beginners to those who have represented Great Britain. We have an excellent team of qualified and experienced Coaches, Instructors and Leaders who provide a wide range of recreational kayaking, canoeing & paddleboard opportunities at both our Aquadrome based sessions and on our regular trips further afield. Our Canoe Polo section train twice a week and we have both adult and youth teams participating in the national and regional leagues.For anyone interested in trying paddlesport for the first time, 'Come & Try' taster sessions run from early May to September and you can further develop your paddling by progressing through the British Canoeing Paddle Awards (Paddle Start, Paddle Discover and Paddle Explore), which are run at the Club.
