Newbury Canoe Club is based on the banks of the Kennet and Avon Canal in the centre of Newbury.  We have recently completed the build of a new Club House and are in the process of building our membership.  We run 2-3 beginners course every summer.  Our main competitive discipline is marathon canoeing although some members are also competing in Slalom and Sprint.  Along side those out training we have seen a massive increase in SUP and social paddling with many groups out enjoying the picturesque Kennet and Avon Canal along the Kennet Valley.NCC organise the ever popular Waterside Series of marathon races with many paddlers using this as training for their attempt at the Devises to Westminster canoe race.The Club is member/volunteer run and we are seeking to steadily grow our membership and expand our activities.  We welcome new members and are seeking to develop coaches as coaching members are the limiting factor current and future in our growth/activities.  New boat storage facilities are currently being planned for, this would replace out existing storage and at the same time increase capacity.
