Newbury Canoe Club is based on the banks of the Kennet and Avon Canal in the centre of Newbury.  Having built a new Club House and increased our membership we are currently building a new Boat Shed building. This will close on double our capacity to store our fleet of Club boats and boats privately owned.We run 2-3 beginners course every summer which has sucessfully increased our membership since the new Club House was opened in 2019.Our main competitive discipline is marathon canoeing although some members are also competing in Slalom and Sprint.  Along side those out training we have seen an increase in SUP and social paddling with many groups out enjoying the picturesque Kennet and Avon Canal along the Kennet Valley.NCC organise the ever popular Newbury Canoe Club Waterside Series of marathon races with many paddlers using this as training for their attempt at the Devises to Westminster canoe race.The Club is member/volunteer run and we are seeking to steadily grow our membership and expand our activities.  We welcome new members and are seeking to develop coaches to enable us as a Club to grow in the future.
