Chelsea Kayak Club (known as CKC) is London’s friendly sea kayaking club. We are based at Brentford Boating Arch in Kew Bridge. The Club paddles on the Thames, from Kew Bridge, every Thursday evening (usually followed by a drink at a local pub). We also paddle on Tuesday evenings on the Thames, special weekday paddles, weekends on the Sea, Socials and Training courses are regularly organised. Details go out by email to all members and can be seen in our Events Calendar. Each event shows a ‘grade’ so you can select one suitable for your experience, fitness and desire for adventure! Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is able to swim 50m in light clothing. The tides on the Thames mean a little experience is needed before members can join Thames sessions; we organise beginner sessions throughout the year to get you going. If you’re new to kayaking please refer to the FAQs webpage for information on how to get started.  The Club is governed by a Constitution to ensure fair practice and treatment for all members and is affiliated to British Canoeing. See About the Club on the Club website for more background on the Club and how and why it came about. If you have any questions about the Club drop us an email to [email protected] and we will try and get back to you as soon as we can
