Bishops Stortford Canoe Club is based on the Stort Navigation at Southmill Lock, about one mile South of B/S town centre, where we have our own clubhouse. [Please note: while the postcode given is correct, it will cause most satnavs to take you to the wrong place - use only the navigation details on our website.]We are primarily focussed on canoe and kayak flatwater racing. We take part in the Eastern Region Hasler marathon races and Winter Series marathon races, and local and National sprint regattas.We accept new novice members (generally age 10+ but sometimes younger). We have a small team of dedicated volunteer coaches and a range of equipment for use by beginners. Most beginner and intermediate training takes place on a Sunday morning, but more advanced groups also train at other times. Races are mostly on Sundays.
